In light of the release of the remake of Oddworld: Abe’s Oddysee, Oddworld: New ‘n’ Tasty, we thought we’d share Stephan’s review of the original game. Released for Playstation and PC in 1997, Abe’s Oddysee became a quick favorite of the Sound Librarian team. We played the PC version and what struck us the most at the time was how important the sound was in the game. Both the way in which the game creatures communicated, and the importance of moving quietly to avoid making sound. Sound was an integral part of the way the game functioned, which was rare in games of that era. We can’t wait to play Oddworld: New 'n' Tasty and compare the two. Game Spot have done a review to give you a taste of what's included.
